In this podcast I have the privilege and honour of speaking with Matthew Reed L.Ac, and Joshua Swart L.Ac, from Chinese Medicine That Works (CMTW). Joshua and Matt set up originally as a Facebook group and in the last year have been running a number of seminars and have an online teaching website with a number of talented and professional acupuncturists and TCM practitioners.
The CMTW facebook group is a really informative and relaxed forum to share all your questions, cases and observations about all aspects of distal, motor & trigger point acupuncture, how and when to use e-stim and electro-acupuncture. There are lots of really useful information on practice management and all aspects of Improving your practice.
Matt and Joshua are incredibly motivated and they share with me some of their secrets to running a successful facebook group with such a great mix of members. As you might expect from such a charismatic pair we have some great fun in our conversation. We all discuss our teaching methods and share our thoughts on how best to get a mix of running really informative and practical courses that combine an element of light hearted fun too!
They are coming over to Dublin next month with Rich Hazel and Anthony Lombardi for 3 days of seminars which should be great fun and I will at last get to grips with some motor point acupuncture. We also discuss my up coming seminar in Syracuse in May.
Matt and Joshua have developed an amazing website called Acuvids. It is full of great video’s on all of the topics mentioned above and more, there are lots of free video’s and an option to become a member with access to all or simply purchase various full length video’s of the live seminars! The list of great presenters includes Cherina Sparks, M.A., R.Ac. who runs amazing Practice Management seminars, Dan Dominguez, L.Ac. with his motor points & Orthopaedic Assessment seminars, Dean Mouscher, L.Ac. teaches bleeding techniques, Anthony Lombardi, does motor points, EA, EXSTORE, Richard Hazel, L.Ac. motor points and Joshua and Matt are master of trigger points, distal acupuncture.
I had great fun chatting with both Joshua & Matt and I am sure that we will all have a lot of fun sharing our different Acupuncture topics here in Dublin and in Syracuse. We have been sharing working together in an informal nature through our respective Facebook groups and CMTW have always been very generous with their advise on all manner of matters including how, Mastering the Art of Abdominal Acupuncture courses can become PDA / CEU Providers through NCCAOM. We are now in the process of getting our online and live courses accredited, so watch this space!
